TUESDAY STYLE SPOTTED: IRO

IRO
色 Japanese for Colour

An infusion of classic French chic
with the street style of New York

Ajuste Cory Low Rise Jean - white
AU$320 from Green with Envy
I find that a pair of white jeans/trousers/leather trousers is an unequivocal staple in every girl's wardrobe due to three major elements. A, they are incredibly chic and stylish, and B, are slightly more upmarket that a regular pair of distressed jeans. If you are going for a look that requires a smart-casual attire, my white leather trousers from Zara would be my go-to, along with a blazer and a colourful pair of heels (see below for a surprise!). C, white trousers are versatile, given that white, similar to black, is such a compliment colour to pretty much anything.

Adila Biker Jacket - pink (also available in navy from ShopBop)
AU$1370 from Green with Envy
Biker jackets have been all the rage for a few years now, and while black leather has proved a key trend in the fashion world, I feel that, if paired wrongly, black leather can come across as harsh and almost standoffish. When stumbling across this pink suede and leather detailed jacket, I fell in love with the girly, yet still sophisticated nature it emanates. I rarely wear pink as I find it can be a bit in-your-face with its juvenile stigma QED Elle Woods, however, I really felt like the biker of it atoned for this, overall synthesising a young femininity (i.e. hypothetically, the Parisian element) from the pink, with a more street-style leather jacket (more or less, the New York street style)
IRO Sherie Boots - pearl grey, or deep blue
AU$846 from IRO
IRO Sydrae Pumps - nude or navy
AU$650 from IRO
Brightly coloured shoes do not need to be $20 from Rubi shoes or Supre to be fabulous! Personally, when my eyes fixated on these two pairs of shoes, I immediately fell in love with the elegant street style and Parisian pump (respectively), not to mention the exotic richness of the colours. While both come in more conservative shades, I feel they wouldn't be half as charmingly wacky as they are in these vibrant blues. I would definitely intend on pairing them with a matching tote, maybe this one or this one from Michael Kors, further, I feel they would look stunning with the pair of white trousers up above!
What are your thoughts?

FRIDAY FAVOURITES: Warehouse Fashion

My Polyvore

The calm after the storm, winter starts to drift back off into the horizon for another year; the work load lays off, the stress dissolves, hair is let down and the weather begins to shyly hint those excitable notes of warmth that has been so patiently waited for through a bitter Winter season.

♡Welcome to Spring.♡

Aside the mass boom of vivacious florals and the conspicuous smiles of the sun-deprived world, there's nothing I truly love more than the rebirthing of pastel lace; it's girly, it's flirty and it's the easiest yet most charming thing one could possibly wear.

The Warehouse has been doing lace on and off for a few years now, though pleased to say I find the SS14 lineup the most promising so far. It's incredibly adaptable to anyone's individual style, not to mention the lace and pastel combination hints at the angelic innocence of beauty.

Top Favourites:

1.
Perfect for those days when it's still quite chilly.
I find this jumper absolutely stunning in a sense that it
emanates a modernist yet conservative warmth to it -

the combination of smart/casual makes it perfect to wear either
around the house with a pair of Ugg boots, or out to a nice
dinner in white washed jeans and boots.

2.

I love shift dresses.
The colour of this dress reminds me of a seven a.m. start - crisp and fresh, ready to
take on the day.
I like how this dress pulls in at the waist to for more figure definition
as sometimes, with shift dresses, the general sharp cut of the garment completely obscures the natural figure - good in some ways, but bad in others.

I can imagine myself wearing this with Marc Jacob's Spring perfumes, Honey or Dot, and maybe a pair of white heels

3.
BEAUTIFUL!
I love the colour, I love the shape of the dress. I love the lace.
I love how this dress is so feminine and girly, yet the lace and the low back gives it a bit more
of a sexiness for night time wear.
I think this dress would be perfect on it's own with a pair of nude heels (as to not
distract the eye from the dress)
This dress also comes in a royal navy blue, though I prefer the red as it is more eycatching haha.

4.

It's no secret that I have an obsession for blazers - I find them perfectly chic and sophisticated.
The use of the lace aids to the femininity of the blazer and kind of tones down on the
harshness of the sharp edges, like shoulders pads and the cut off sleeves, that would
generally feature on the blazer.

I love how it is white, meaning you could wear it with practically anything. I think this blazer and both
the above dresses would make a flawless combination, perfect to dance into
for Spring.

THURSDAY THOUGHTS: Jennifer Lawrence Oscars 2014

Heart shaped necklines, sharp pointed shoulders and pinched waistlines that spiral out into a waterfall of tule like a rosebud in bloom. Christian Dior - Haute Couture.

There was something truly magnificent, something astoundingly beautiful that made my heart crave at the classic silhouette of Dior when I saw Jennifer Lawrence step out at the Oscars in a magnificent vividly red number. While slightly more toned down on the sweetness and sugar of the pearly Dior she wore when she glided down the carpet last year, this new red one reaffirmed my love for Dior.

While Audrey Hepburn's iconic look was predominantly Givenchy, Lawrence's dress reminded me of something Hepburn wore when she did step out in Dior; elegance, class and sheer femininity. Something incredibly 50s.

With the kaleidoscope of colour, pattern and ambiguity that designers like Prada and Gucci are presenting through their representatives at the Oscars, I find something so simply beautiful through the classic mono-coloured dress.

Thoughts?

FRIDAY FAVOURITES

Vogue Aus March Edition:
Mia Wasikowska - The Magic of Mia

Mulberry with Cara Delevingne
I'm dying for the next episode but I just can't believe
that Ezra is (supposedly) A.
My theory: I think A has blackmailed
into Ezra being the one to take the blame as A so that A doesn't hurt Aria
i.e. he's doing it for loooove :").
Thoughts?

P.s. My legal teacher is the spitting image of Ezra!!
:O Maybe my legal teacher is A? :O
Alannah Hill - my formal dress <3

Just for now - Imogen Heap
So beautiful and quirky
